Giants say bye-bye to Bengie....finally

The sweetest words ever...I told you so. This just proves the ignorance of the signing of Bengie this off season in the first place. What you didn't know Buster Posey was ready? And you didn't gain much if anything in service time by having to bring Posey up when you did. AMAZING!!!

I hope this isn't the margin that keeps the Giants out of the playoffs this season.

FROM SFGIANTS.COM
The San Francisco Giants have traded catcher Bengie Molina and cash considerations to the Texas Rangers in exchange for right-handed pitchers Chris Ray and Michael Main, club Senior Vice President and General Manager Brian Sabean announced today.

Ray, 28, has gone 2-0 with a 3.41 ERA (12er, 31.2ip), one save, 16 walks and 16 strikeouts in 35 games from the bullpen for Texas this season. Main, 21, has gone 5-3 with a 3.45 ERA (35er, 91.1p) with 72 strikeouts and one complete game shutout at Class A Advanced Bakersfield this season.

Maybe, just maybe, some of the buzz I'm hearing that this deal set up a possible deal for a Prince Fielder type impact bat are true and the Giants can make a real second half run.
