Jim Hendry on the Hot Seat? - Two Cubs' Starters Headed to DL

A tough start for the Cubbies. A 3-3 record so far, but 40% of the starting staff with arm issues and we're not even through April yet? Somebodies head may roll as a result of this and it may not be limited to the condition / pitching coach. Of course, having to start the season pitching in sub-40 degree weather after training in the Arizona heat for a month is quite a down-shift for the body to handle.

Perhaps MLB should look into the early season schedule and schedule more in the Sun Belt or under domes for the first week or two. Commissioner Selig should be well aware of the Midwest climate in early April, being as he is from Milwaukee.

Two Cubs' Starters Headed to DL

CHICAGO -- The Cubs rotation took a double hit on Wednesday, when both Randy Wells and Andrew Cashner were sidelined with strains in their forearm and shoulder, respectively, and both are headed for the disabled list.

  1. So glad for Miller Park's retractable roof! Going to Cubs - Brewers game tonight in Milwaukee! It looks like it will be rainy and cold outside...but toasty warm and dry inside Miller Park.

    Go Brew Crew!!!
