Francsco Peguero continues his hot spring at AAA Fresno after nearly earning a backup OF spot with the big club. I wonder if they G-men re-sign Andres Torres if they knew Peguero would come into camp this well prepared.
For guy who doesn't demonstrate much power his K-Rate is a bit high (over 100K's per 500 AB's) and he suddenly stopped stealing bases last year. But he has hit .300+ almost everywhere he goes. If he's going to be a top of the order type, you'd like to see more walks in addition to more SB's and less K's.
That may seem like a laundry list of gripes for a guy who almost made the 25 man roster, but let's see how he progresses this season at Fresno. The early returns are good, as well as the residual carry-over from his time in camp with the big club.
