San Francisco Giants defeated by Colorado Rockies 8–6, despite late inning rally | Around the Foghorn

This has been a common theme with Hudson since maybe late last year. He starts games off like a house on fire and then fades just enough to cough it up. Of course, you could say the same about Lincecum and to a lesser extent Vogelsong and Peavy, when he is healthy.

A whole lot of inconsistency wrapped around those Bumgarner and Heston starts. Cain needs to come back with a vengeance and Peavy is going to get the veteran courtesy. Timmy, Timmy and Vogie appear to be fighting for scraps after the walking wounded return.

Hudson pitched a great game through the fifth, but all hell broke loose in the sixth and seventh. Here's how his night ended up: with six and two thirds innings pitched, he gave up five runs on ten hits and one walk, and he struck out six. The final score was: Giants 6, Rockies 8
