The data and selections in each category reflects what each draft pick did for the organization. The draft has only been in existence since 1965, so many great old-timers do not appear as they were effectively free-agents. Great trip down memory lane as far as the MLB Draft goes for each organization.
I might put Wendell Fairley as the "biggest bust" along with Gary Brown only because he was considered a potential five-tool player.

Brad Hennessey, Noah Lowry and Todd Linden in 2001
Matt Cain in 2002 and
David Aardsma and Roger Whitaker in 2003
as either first rounders or compensation picks. 20/20 hindsight tells us that only Matt Cain made a significant contribution out of that bunch. The Giants were then either N/A or MIA in 2004 and 2005 to pay penance for signing free-agents to paste/spackle the major league 25-man roster in the Bonds era.
The second half of the decade provided a changing of the guard or a change in philosophy it seems as

2007 hauled in Madison Bumgarner, Tim Alderson, Wendell Fairley, Nick Noonan, Jackson Williams and Charlie Culberson

2012 Chris Stratton
2013 Christian Arroyo
2014 Tyler Beede
virtually all of these picks have wither made significant contributions or were used as barter for pieces that did add significant value. The jury is still out from 2012 forward.

Biggest Draft Steal in Team History
- CF Marvin Benard (50th Round, 1,391st Overall in 1992)
One of just seven 50th-round picks to ever reach the majors, outfielder Marvin Benard posted an 8.6 WAR over nine seasons and 891 games with the Giants. He was a career .271/.343/.402 hitter, and his best season came in 1999 when he posted an .816 OPS with 36 doubles, 16 home runs and 27 stolen bases.
Reliever Sergio Romo deserves a mention as well, as he was a 28th-round pick back in the 2005 draft.
Biggest Draft Bust in Team History
- OF Gary Brown (First Round, 24th Overall in 2010)
A huge first full season as a pro from Gary Brown in 2011 left the Cal State Fullerton product looking like a future star, as he hit .336/.407/.519 with 34 doubles, 13 triples, 14 home runs, 80 RBI and 53 steals at the High-A level. He was unable to make the jump from there, though, and he has bounced around the waiver wire this season.
