2018 Super Regionals Sites and Schedule Announced – College Baseball Daily

The Sweet Sixteen Baseball style includes some really good match-ups, assuming the pitching aces aces go full throttle.

• Florida vs. Auburn could showcase Casey Mize vs. Brady Singer. 
• Vanderbilt vs. Mississippi State is a battle of two SEC powerhouses. 
• Arkansas vs. South Carolina is another SEC tilt. 
• Cal State Fullerton vs. Washington is a battle of two west coast powers. 
• Atlantic Sun champion Stetson challenges North Carolina, Logan Gilbert gives them a punchers chance. 
• Texas Tech vs. Duke and Texas vs. Tennessee Tech are both battles of Texas v. Cinderella.
• Oregon State vs. Minnesota is another powerhouse vs. Cinderella story. 

At least one of the Cinderella's will go on a run and try to replicate what Coastal Carolina did. I like Stetson's chance to fill the bill in that category, especially if their pitching shows up large.

INDIANAPOLIS—The eight super-regional hosts were announced today by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee. The following four super regionals will be played Friday, June 8, Saturday, June 9, and Sunday, June 10 (if necessary). The national seed is indicated before the team name, while updated records through the regionals are in parenthesis.

The determination of the Men's College World Series order of first-round games both Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17, will be announced Monday, June 11. The ESPN family of networks and www.NCAA.com/cws will release the CWS game dates and times as soon as they are available. The 72nd College World Series begins play Saturday, June 16, at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.
