Why I love Allen West!!

In three minutes, he illustrates where we are headed as a nation. And the idiot media acolyte responded with a moronic "Wait, What?!?" type of follow-up question. As if he didn't hear or understand the answer.

This is why we are in the mess we are in.

This is another reason why he was my VP pick over Paul Ryan.

The republic cannot survive so much dependency

Commentary: What the 47% who rely on government must know

By Rep. Allen West
Sept. 18, 2012, 7:31 p.m. EDT
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-republic-cannot-survive-so-much-dependency-2012-09-18

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — Gov. Mitt Romney's comments about the percentage of Americans who have grown economically dependent on the government for their sustenance, and as a result, see little benefit in changing course, is neither new nor outrageous.
More than 170 years ago, the French political thinker and writer, Alexis de Tocqueville saw this coming, and warned of its dangers in his most famous writing, Democracy in America. Here is an excerpt below:
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship."
Our public treasury cannot sustain further "largesse." Our national debt has ballooned to more than $16 trillion. The top 25 percent of wage earners contribute 87 percent of all tax revenue and it is numerically impossible to tax them sufficiently to pay for this expansion of federal government – let alone pay down our debt. For another viewpoint, read Rex Nutting's column on the 47%.
Our entire fiscal and monetary policy is now based on one simple axiom: What we cannot tax, we borrow, and what we cannot borrow, we print.
The path we are on in 2012 is perilous and unsustainable. We must change course.
This November, Americans will not simply be choosing one man or another as president, they will be choosing the future direction of these United States of America.
The question is not whether one candidate is nicer or more likable or even easier to relate to. The fundamental question all Americans must ask themselves is what kind of a nation shall we be? And what does it mean to be an American?
Since 2009, our nation has changed dramatically. Work force participation is at a 31-year low, and millions of Americans have simply given up looking for a job. While 43 straight months of unemployment at or above 8% is dismal enough, it is not even the whole awful truth.
The true level of unemployment, based on the U6 computation rate (including unemployed, underemployed, and discouraged workers) is now at 14.7%, climbing more than 3 percentage points since President Barack Obama took office.
Despite our federal government's borrowing over a trillion dollars each of the last three years in order to expand "investment" and "stimulate our economy," we now have a record number of Americans in poverty and a record number on food stamps.
The fact is, the Obama administration is fostering a nation of dependency.
As a result, the very foundations of our nation, and the principles upon which this Republic prospered and succeeded, have been turned upside down.
Instead of unleashing the indomitable American spirit of free enterprise, this administration and their liberal progressive acolytes seek to punish success, by taxing those who create jobs and produce goods and services, and re-distributing it to those who do not.
Sadly, those Americans who depend so heavily on government programs seem the most unaware that the programs upon which they rely on are in danger of disappearing altogether. As Margaret Thatcher stated so eloquently, "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. "
It is not "compassionate" to promise more and more government benefits when it is our children and grandchildren who will be forced to pay for them. It is not "caring" to encourage greater and greater dependence on a system destined for collapse without reform.
Many of the 47% to which Gov. Romney referred (actually closer to 48.6%) must understand it is the liberal progressive policies of President Obama that have forced them into dependency. Their path to prosperity lies with economic freedom and an unfettered market, not more government and bureaucracy.
In this election, Americans must wake up to the facts, and more importantly, to the reality of what lies ahead if we do not reform our mandatory spending programs, reduce the regulatory red tape strangling our small businesses, institute sound fiscal and tax policies, and slow down the growth of the welfare nanny-state.

2 U.S. Supreme Court Justices – And Numerous Other Top Government Officials – Warn of Dictatorship

Former Supreme Court Justice David Souter told University of New Hampshire School of Law that the "pervasive civic ignorance" in the U.S. could bring dictatorship:
I don't worry about our losing a republican government in the United States because I'm afraid of a foreign invasion. I don't worry about it because of a coup by the military, as has happened in some other places. What I worry about is that when problems are not addressed people will not know who is responsible, and when the problems get bad enough — as they might do for example with another serious terrorist attack, as they might do with another financial meltdown — some one person will come forward and say:  'Give me total power and I will solve this problem.'
That is how the Roman republic fel.  Augustus became emperor not because he arrested the Roman senate. He became emperor because he promised that he would solve problems that were not being solved.

Chicago Values.....

Chicago values suck. At least those that Rahm-bo seems to embrace. A cesspool of corruption continues it's proud, storied history.

The Past, Present and future in Politics

The election results are in. There are still votes to be counted and races to be decided, but maybe now is a time to step back, take a deep breath, distance ourselves from the white-hot rhetoric of campaigning and take a look at what has been presented to us. We are at a very important crossroads here in the good old USA.

Take a look at the passion of a Tea Partier, the cool logic and wisdom of a Thomas Sowell, a sobering video from Citizens Against Government Waste and an inspirational acceptance speech by a person who is helping to change the face of the Republican Party, Marco Rubio.

And my other personal favorite Lt. Col. Allen West did win in Florida. He understands the Constitution when it says that the government should "promote the general welfare" not "provide welfare". Therein lies one of the fundamental differences we face today. Listen to this man and tell me you would not line-up beside him or follow him into battle.

GOD BLESS THIS MAN AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

Since it appears to be such a major issue, check the tape of West's acceptance speech as the camera pans the crowd around the 7:45 mark. Check out the racial composition of the crowd and then look again at Allen West. West is a product of the Tea Party. Then tell me if the truth fed to you by some of these knuckleheads in the media isn't just some sort of artifice to divide people rather than bring them together. Oh, and please, just one of you haters from the left please refer to Lt. Col. Allen West as an Uncle Tom or an Oreo. And please do it to his face. And please, Oh God, please let me be there to see it.

Anyway, roll the tapes. Somewhere down the line of this post, I do believe you will be looking at the next President of the United States. God willing, sooner rather than later.

It may have helped to have some of this information before voting but I was a little bit distracted by the Giants recently.

WOW!! THESE PEOPLE SEEM MORE CONCERNED AND PASSIONATE ABOUT THEIR COUNTRY THAN A DANGER TO IT.

http://thedebtweowe.com/a-stunning-rendition-of-the-fourth-verse-of-the-star-spangled-banner

Political correctness dominates America today and we have lost many of the principles that this nation was founded on. If the pilgrims were still alive today, they would be trying to run away from America.

One year, in school we recited this version. For what reason, I don't recall. So I do know the words to this verse by heart. You probably could not recite this version...in a public school today. And there is something fundamentally wrong with that.

And please don't start any of that "I don't see any people of color in that video" nonsense. To that I can only ask one question.

"WELL, WHY NOT?"

A similar variation of the same question crossed my mind around the 7:50 mark of the Allen West acceptance speech video. Some things need to change. Very soon.

I'll let Thomas Sowell explain one of the other "big issues" that some of the "enlightened" ones pretend they understand better than the rest of us.

They spent a good part of the last week or so trying to catch Christine O' Donnell in a Palin-like "gotcha" moment that backfired. It simply displayed either their ignorance of the Constitution or their utter contempt for same, take your pick.

Forgetting the Constitution

The assurance that “separation of church and state” is in the Constitution shows our elites’ ignorance.

Politics is not the only place where some pretty brassy statements have been made and repeated so often that some people have accepted these brassy statements as being as good as gold.

One of the brassiest of the brass oldies is the notion that the Constitution creates a “wall of separation” between church and state. This false notion has been so widely accepted that people who tell the truth get laughed at and mocked.

A recent New York Times piece said that it was “a flub of the first order” when Christine O’Donnell, Republican candidate for senator in Delaware, asked a law school audience, “Where in the Constitution is the separation of church and state?” According to the New York Times, “The question draw gasps and laughter” from this audience of professors and law students who are elites-in-waiting.

The New York Times writer joined in the mocking response to Ms. O’Donnell’s question, though admitting in passing that “in the strictest sense” the “actual words ‘separation of church and state’ do not appear in the text of the Constitution.” Either the separation of church and state is there or it is not there. It is not a question of some “strictest” technicality.

The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States begins, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.” There is absolutely nothing in the Constitution about a “wall of separation” between church and state, either directly or indirectly.

For more than a century, no one thought that the First Amendment meant that religious symbols were forbidden on government property. Prayers were offered in Congress and in the Supreme Court. Chaplains served in the military and presidents took their oath of office on the Bible.

But, in our own times, judges have latched onto Jefferson’s phrase and run with it. It has been repeated so often in their decisions that it has become one of the brassiest of the brass oldies that get confused with golden oldies.

As fundamentally important as the First Amendment is, what is even more important is the question whether judges are to take it upon themselves to “interpret” the law to mean whatever they want it to mean, rather than what it plainly says.

This is part of a larger question, as to whether this country is to be a self-governing nation, controlled by “we the people,” as the Constitution put it, or whether arrogant elites shall take it upon themselves to find ways to impose what they want on the rest of us, by circumventing the Constitution.

Judges circumvent the Constitution by reading their own meaning into its words, regardless of how plain and unequivocal its words are.

The Constitution cannot protect us and our freedoms as a self-governing people unless we protect the Constitution. That means zero tolerance at election time for people who circumvent the letter and the spirit of the Constitution. Freedom is too precious to give it up in exchange for brassy words from arrogant elites.

NOW THAT'S DANGEROUS. WE HAVE FOLKS IN THE HIGHEST POSITIONS OF POWER IN THIS COUNTRY WHO ARE EITHER IGNORANT OR DERISIVE OF THE CONSTITUTION.

This is the looming danger we face as a nation and all these folks that seek to pit one group against another are diverting our attention from a problem that will fundamentally change our country and make our way of life and our standard of living unrecognizable and unreachable for future generations.

from Citizens Against Government Waste:

The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. - Proverbs 22:7

And now, since it is becoming increasingly apparent that the whole "Hope & Change 1.0" thing was nothing more than a pile of rhetoric, I give you some real hope for some real change looming on the horizon.

God Bless Lt. Col. Allen West....Sen. Reid do you have a question? Molon Labe, Baby!!

Is this the kind of man we need "to restore honor, integrity and character to Washington, DC"?

I LOVE THIS MAN!!!

I suppose to Senator Reid, the only thought might be, "what is a Negro doing in the Republican Party?" Especially one who is "light-skinned" and does not speak in "negro dialect".

What's that Vice President Biden?

Yes sir, he is "clean and articulate" as well, isn't he sir?

This is EXACTLY the kind of man we need in Washington.

Molōn labe! INDEED!!!

You have to watch this video, it's 8 minutes long.

If this guy doesn't win, I really have grave reservations for the future of this country.

Lt. Col. Allen West Tells Florida Dems ‘Come and Get it!’

http://www.publiusforum.com/2010/08/11/lt-col-allen-west-tells-florida-dems-come-and-get-it/

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molon_labe

The Greek phrase Molōn labe! (Μολὼν λαβέ; approximate Classical Greek pronunciation [molɔ̀ːn labé], Modern Greek [moˈlon laˈve]), meaning "Come and take them" is a classical expression of defiance reportedly by King Leonidas in response to the Persian army's demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons at the Battle of Thermopylae. It corresponds roughly to the modern equivalent English phrase "over my dead body", "bring it on" or, most closely, "come and get it". It is an exemplary use of a laconic phrase.

Washingtoons: "One Nation under God Indivisible with Liberty and Justice for All"

18 July 2010
by: Lieutenant Colonel Allen B West (US Army, Retired)

Greetings Wheels on the Road readers, fellow South Floridians, and all Americans, my how time flies and here we are again for our monthly political assessment.

It never ceases to amaze me that as we get closer to our monthly submission of this regular missive that the topic becomes evident. I often use an ole saying from my parents, "sometimes you just have to thank God for stupid people"....and I do. The focus for this month without any doubt has to be the NAACP and its President/CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous.

Let me make one thing very clear, my Mother, Elizabeth Thomas West, was a lifetime membership holder with the NAACP. Therefore growing up in our home I clearly understood the mission and vision for this organization. It was a mission and vision that enabled me to have the pride in myself and the heritage of my parents, grandparents, and extended family. It was a mission and vision that, to me, fostered a desire to excel beyond the standard and have a commitment to excellence regardless of skin color.

However, something has happened to that mission and vision, something horrific and inconsistent with the principles and values I recalled emanating from the "ole school" black community. Somewhere along the way victimization mentality has taken root in the black community resulting in astronomical unemployment rates, high incarceration rates, appalling murder rates, breakdown of the black family, and embarrassing teen pregnancy rates.

And in the light of all these negative socioeconomic indicators the NAACP decides that the preeminent focus of their national convention would be on issuing a resolution castigating the Tea (Taxed Enough Already) Party movement as racist. Even Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee of Texas was so compelled as to state that the Tea Party is filled with Klan members.....but we will get to the Congressional Black Caucus a bit later.

Instead of maintaining its mission and vision, the NAACP has now become the "useful idiots" (a term coined by Vladimir Lenin) for liberal racism. They have made themselves into a political hack job organization which now seeks to maintain the liberal progressive socialist control of the 21 century plantation. It is on this new economic plantation where the liberals seek to enslave the black community in order to maintain a devoted, monolithic, voting electorate.

I find it interesting that the NAACP was silent when Senator Harry Reid made his insidious comments about President Obama was favorable, likeable, because he is "light-skinned" and did not speak in "negro dialect". I recall that the NAACP said nothing when Vice President Joe Biden referred to Barack Hussein Obama as "clean and articulate". The NAACP said nothing when liberals attacked Clarence Thomas, Condoleeza Rice (birthing tubes cartoon), Michael Steele, and General Colin Powell.

In 2008, where was the NAACP to denounce the obvious case of voter intimidation by the New Black Panther Party? Why did the NAACP not demand President George W Bush, and now, Attorney General Eric Holder, and the Obama administration, to prosecute this case to the fullest extent? Does the NAACP now support the same tactic which targeted the black community seeking to restrict the most fundamental of American individual rights, the right to vote? And shall the NAACP distance itself and condemn Malik Shabazz and the New Black Panther Party?

It is this duplicitous hypocrisy which allows me to state that the NAACP is shamefully now a liberal racist enabler. The upcoming mid-term elections have the Democrat party in certain peril. Therefore they have turned to their tactic of first and last resort, race baiting.

The resolution issued by the NAACP against the Tea Party is just a strategy to focus this coming election not against liberal progressive policies, which are anathema to our Republic. No, the NAACP, in conjunction with their masters, the Democrat party, seek to make this into an election based upon an insane charge of racial hatred.

We even see charlatan blasts from the past such as Julian Bond stating that Martin Luther King Jr was a socialist, a feeble attempt to garner black community acceptance of the liberal progressive agenda. We are truly on the verge of a dangerous situation in America. And yes, this also includes the lawsuit being brought against the sovereign State of Arizona, an attempt to win Hispanic votes.....an extension of liberal racism to another minority group.

We can fully expect from now until 2 November 2010 to see the usual suspects come out to promote the dishonest tyranny of the liberals. You will find the Congressional Black Caucus, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton out to ensure blacks remain wedded to the failing liberal social welfare policies, all the time shouting how the Democrats know what is best. I find it comical that Al Sharpton has already leapt forward to head up a new left-wing grassroots group to counter the Tea Party called "One Nation".

Does One Nation believe in higher taxes and bigger government? Will this counter group promote individual rights and freedoms, liberty, and adherence to our US Constitution? I presume this group will seek to intimidate and put forth the ideals of collectivism combined with victimhood and expansion of the "nanny-state".

I find the Tea Party, to which I have spoken to several times, stands for fundamental principles and values consistent with that which has made America an exceptional Constitutional Republic.

Therefore, under the "leadership" of Al Sharpton, this counter group One Nation obviously stands for principles which are antithetical to our Republic.

In closing, I am sure you are asking why did the ole Colonel have the last sentence in the Pledge of Allegiance in the title for this piece?

Simple, Liberal Racism does not believe in One Nation under God. They believe in a Nation of subjects organized into collective groups under which they shall rule, not govern, in a secular humanist based society.

Indivisible, Liberal Racism does not believe in "e pluribus unim", they prefer a balkanized America where they can pit us against each other through their manipulated messages....such as Tea Party racism.

Liberal racism does not believe in Liberty and Justice for All, they believe in freedom defined by a ruling class elite while creating more victims who become dependent upon their dishonest benevolence. Justice in the world of Liberal Racism means social and economic justice rooted in a principle of leveling, which founding father Samuel Adams spoke against. Al Sharpton defined justice as everyone having the same in every home in America.....government engineering of results and outcomes.

The mid-term elections of 2 November 2010 comes down to "One Nation under God Indivisible with Liberty and Justice for All" or the concept of One Nation under the proprietor of victimization Al Sharpton, a simpleton crony of Liberal Racism. Which shall you choose?

Steadfast and Loyal,

LTC(R) Allen B West
