We're not quite Bumgarner and Cain and pray for rain, but.....
Two teams headed in different directions with the Dodgers checking in at 8-2 over the last 10 games and the Giants an anemic 1-9. Maybe the rain-out was just what the doctor ordered for the walking wounded. Pretty early in the season for must games, but if this is a pivotal series for the Giants, then this is as close to a must game as it gets for now.
from Yahoo Sports:
Dodgers-Giants Preview - Yahoo! Sports:
Just when the Los Angeles Dodgers thought they were going to get a weekend in San Francisco without seeing Matt Cain, the weather intervened.
Instead, he'll start Friday's series opener for the Giants against the visiting Dodgers, whom Cain has dominated in recent years. But Cain also hasn't seen a lineup as potent as the one Los Angeles has fielded of late - one that could get deeper with the potential return of Carl Crawford.
