I am mortified to say I went to bed after the sixth inning mistakenly thinking he had a one-hitter and missed the ending.
Congrats to Timmy.
Seems like he went back to using the curve-ball more often. I'll have to look at FanGraphs or one of those sites that tracks pitches thrown for sure, but it was good to see the old bender back in use.
from sfgiants.com:
Tim Lincecum, who built his reputation as one of the most untouchable pitchers in the Major Leagues, turned his fame into history by pitching his first no-hitter, a 9-0 blanking of the San Diego Padres before 40,342 Petco Park witnesses.
Lincecum etched the 15th no-hitter by a Giant into the record books, preceded by Matt Cain's perfect game on June 13, 2012, against Houston. Four walks -- one in the first inning, a pair in the sixth and one more in the eighth -- were all that marrred Lincecum's performance.

Let historians note that the first celebrant to reach Timmy after the no-no was secured was none other than the catcher once known as 'The one who couldn't catch Timmy' aka Buster Posey. This ought to shut those idiots up once and for all.

After this, maybe Timmy needs to send the home plate umpire a post-gamer similar to Ray Zalinsky proposed sending to Paul Barish at the conclusion of Tommy Boy ( an under-rated comedy masterpiece ).
Ray Zalinsky: Marty, find out where the police are going to be taking him. Send over a bottle of bubbly with a bucket of ice and a card. Have it say, "Tough break, get drunk on me. Use the bucket to ice down your marbles, Yours, Z."
Timmy's facial expression is priceless.
Note to Buster: You might want to put more effort into blocking those in the future.
