Giants and Cardinals in the NLCS. What a surprise!!

A capsule look at Giants-Cardinals playoff series

Once again, the two best NL franchises in recent years will square off against each other for a trip to the World Series.
Between the two organizations:
- 7 of the last 12 NL pennants ( soon to be 8 of 13)
- 9 of the last 14 NL MVP awards
- 3 of the last 14 CY Young Awards
- 4 of the last 14 World Titles
from Yahoo Sports:
Projected Rotation:
Giants:
LH Madison Bumgarner (18-10, 2.98 ERA, 219 Ks, 217 1-3 IP),
RH Jake Peavy (7-13, 3.73 ERA with Boston and San Francisco),
RH Tim Hudson (9-13, 3.57),
RH Ryan Vogelsong (8-13, 4.00).
Cardinals:
RH Adam Wainwright (20-9, 2.38, 227 IP, 3 shutouts, 5 CGs),
RH Lance Lynn (15-10, 2.74),
RH John Lackey (14-10, 3.82 with Red Sox and Cardinals),
RH Shelby Miller (10-9, 3.74).
For added spice, under the surface these two teams generally don't like each other too much and it goes back a wee bit. From "One Flap Down" Jeffrey Leonard to Will Clark and Ozzie Smith mixing it up to more recent vintage "Cheap Shot Artist" Matt Holliday possibly contributing to Marco Scutaro's recent back issues and on and on and on.......

So bring it on baby!! Let's get ready to rumble!!!

The Cardinals are empirically awful. Did you read this unbelievably horrible op-ed from the mayor of St. Louis? "Don't be mad at us because we make batteries and have Bosnians. Don't hate us because we're so good at everything." Combine it all together, the '87 playoffs, the Holliday play that might still be why Scutaro isn't playing today, the Ozzie cheapshots, and the unbearable attitude. It should be easy to hate the Cardinals just as much as always.

Apparently, the Giants aren't the only ones who don't like the Cardinals and the Giants are up there as well.
So this would be a good series for haters and those who love them or something like that.
