Down on the Farm Report: Richmond Flying Squirrels

Image result for richmond flying squirrelsImage result for richmond flying squirrels

Hands down the best logos in baseball!!

So what do we see here? Well, Kelby Tomlinson may be the next Matt Duffy/Joe Panik? Ricky Oropesa is quite the windmill but still ahead of the more heralded Mac Williamson? Not much else on the hitting side. ORGANIZATIONAL THEME?!?! Three World Championships, Three World Championships, Three World Championships. OK, I can breathe again.

On the pitching side, is it too late to start asking who is Joe Biagini? Or is the proper question, is it too early to start asking who is Joe Biagini? And why is Tyler Beede trying to crash Joe Biagini's party? Josh Osich doing some good work out of the pen. LHP out of the pen, could be a need down the road. Oh look, a Matt Cain sighting, cool beans. And Adalberto Mejia is back from being in time out. Also cool beans.

Hey, looking at the pitching  list I couldn't but notice Angel Villalona at the bottom of the hitting list, which bring me joy, although technically it shouldn't. I  don't want to see him in a big-league uniform under the circumstances. It would be like watching O.J. mount a comeback. And then, my burst of schadenfreude was punished when I noticed Daniel Carbonell's name down there as well. Aw snap, there goes the Cuban scouting budget just when it became politically respectable to go to Cuba.

Anyway, Stratton kind of average, the younger Casilla kind of average and Kyle Crick kinda struggling didn't help my morning.

I wouldn't be able to read these reports on a daily basis, I can tell you that.
